Rockets Competition
Craft activities...
Over the summer we have been involved in various craft activities, these have included making running stitch butterflies out of felt and in September we decorated money box footballs.
On December 18th our waiting came to an end and we attended and awards evening at Barnsley University Centre where we were presented with First Prize for our model of Barnsley Town Hall. Various members of our group came along to celebrate the evening and chattered to famous people there, including the famous Barnsley sculpter Graham Hibbertson. We were awarded a cheque for £150, this money was used to purchase Lego for our centre so we could increase our design and construction skills.
The crafts we made during November were:
A model of Barnsley Town Hall made out of the Barnsley Chronicle. This was entered into a Barnsley Arts Competition. We are eagerly awaiting the results. Fingers Crossed.
